Our Story

Jake’s Jerky was founded in 2018 by Jacob McDonough and Shannon Boren in Wheat Ridge, CO. Jacob, a longtime professional massage therapist and native of Seattle, Washington, found himself obsessed with the intense training regiment of Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson. Some of these regiments included intensive massage therapy and a new diet, consisting of a wheat free, gluten free, dairy free, and sugar free diet. Inspired by Russell’s athleticism and their own passion for making the world a healthier place, a sugar free snack was born...
